FOCUS GROUP APPLICATION FOR FAMILIES

Dear KCSD families,
Superintendent Glen Szymoniak has announced his retirement as of June 30, 2026. Our KCSD Board of Directors has begun its search for a new superintendent and has hired Human Capital Enterprises to support their efforts.

The consultants will facilitate various focus groups to engage participants on key questions to learn about our district and what our community is seeking in a new superintendent. Feedback from the focus groups and an upcoming survey will be used by our consultants and Board of Directors to develop KCSD’s “Next Superintendent Criteria”  and to reflect and promote the district while supporting regional and national recruiting in this search. 

If you are interested in participating in a parent focus group, please apply here: Parent Application for Focus Group. Participants for two 40-minute focus groups will be selected by lottery, with care to ensure representation across the district. They will be held virtually (Zoom) on:
-- Tuesday, Feb. 3, 6:00-6:40 p.m.
-- Thursday, Feb. 5, 9:00-9:40 a.m.

This interest form must be completed no later than 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. If you are selected, you will receive notification Friday, Jan. 30.

If you are unable to participate, we are still very interested in your feedback. You are invited to complete the confidential survey, which will be distributed Wednesday, Jan. 28 on our website and social media platforms. A link to the survey also will be sent to parents via Bright Arrow, our mass communication system.
