April 15, 2026 / Four Mazama High School student athletes have signed to play sports at the collegiate level next fall.
The students, their families, and friends attended a Signing Day event Wednesday in the school’s cafeteria. Mazama Athletic Director Ian O’Brien said the event was about celebrating their successes and achievements during their time in high school.
“Each of these athletes has taken a different path to get here, but they all share one thing in common: commitment,” he said. “Whether it’s been on the soccer field, baseball diamond, wrestling mat or basketball court, it’s been a joy to watch them in their moments of growth and success. …We couldn’t ask for better students to go on to college and represent our school, themselves, and their families.”
Please congratulate the following Viking athletes: • Hannah Giacomelli will play basketball for Southwestern Community College. She plans to study biology. • Lizbeth Henderson will wrestle for North Oklahoma College. She plans to study emergency medicine. • Jayden Justice will play baseball for College of the Siskiyous. He plans to study exercise science. • Nadia Manzano will play soccer for Klamath Community College. She is undecided on a major but plans to explore nursing.
