Dec. 10, 2025 / Santa made a special stop at Stearns Elementary Dec. 10. Accompanied by Linkville Kiwanis members, he visited students in special programs and delivered gifts chosen just for them.

“For more than 20 years, Linkville Kiwanis has helped bring Christmas joy to these students,” said Sandra Handsaker, Linkville Kiwanis treasurer and chair of the event. “Students provided wish lists, and with help from the Salvation Army, our members shopped for the perfect gifts. These kids make Christmas special for all of us.”

This year, club members and the Salvation Army provided gifts for 70 students at Stearns Elementary and 20 students at Conger Elementary. One Stearns student summed up the magic perfectly as Santa walked in: “You’re real!! I knew it!”
