Business Management Team won state last spring to qualify

Henley High School’s FFA Farm Business Management Team earned first place at the Oregon State FFA Convention this past March, earning the title of Oregon State Champions. The team will now represent Oregon at the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Ind., from Oct. 29–Nov. 1.

Team members include coach Carolyn Whitaker, senior Dylan Orr, junior Jake Kerley, and 2025 graduates Kelsey Whitaker, Joshua Rose, and Adrian Sanchez. Together, these students demonstrated outstanding abilities in farm business analysis, recordkeeping, and financial decision-making — skills essential to success in agricultural management and leadership.

The Farm Business Management competition challenges students to apply real-world problem-solving related to agricultural finance, marketing, and economics. The team will compete among the top FFA chapters from across the country.
