Gala on April 22 featured the winners, student performers
April 25, 2025 / Friends, family, and talented students gathered Tuesday, April 22 to help the Klamath County School District celebrate and honor its eight Crystal Apple Award winners during a gala at the Ross Ragland Theater. Each winner received a Crystal Apple engraved with the words, “You … Make a Difference.”

This year’s honorees are:
Prior to the ceremony, the KCSD Food Services Team hosted a dinner for the winners and their families. The evening began with the presentation of the colors by Henley High School’s Junior ROTC, followed by the National Anthem, performed by Kayla Spriggs of Mazama High School. Katy Garvin, KCSD director of music and band director, served as master of ceremonies.
After a warm welcome from KCSD Superintendent Glen Szymoniak, Henley student Aria Buck performed on flute, accompanied by the Crystal Choir — a group composed of elementary and junior high students from across the district.
Additional performances included a marimba duet by Henley High students Cash Matheson and Carter Buck, and an alto saxophone solo by Asher Larson, also from Henley High. Henley’s Advanced Chorale, which has qualified for next month’s state competition, closed out the the evening with several selections.
