Oct. 10, 2025 / The Klamath County School District is aware of concerns raised regarding a Mazama High School teacher and allegations that classroom instruction may have included politically motivated or one-sided content. The District takes such concerns seriously. In accordance with District policy and applicable laws, the matter will be reviewed to determine whether instructional standards and professional expectations have been appropriately maintained.
The District acknowledges that classroom discussions may, at times, address current events or controversial topics. When this occurs, staff are expected to present issues in a balanced manner that fosters critical thinking and respect for differing viewpoints. The Klamath County School District does not endorse, promote, or oppose any political ideology or position in its curriculum or instructional practices.
The District appreciates the community’s engagement and remains committed to maintaining an educational environment that upholds professionalism, neutrality, and respect for all students.
