The school staff and administration will implement academic programs that are based in best practice and meet the differentiated needs of our students. Interventions and academic modifications will take place throughout the school year for both individual and whole class learning. Curriculum will be aligned with state standards to best meet the educational needs of students and to help guide them towards state benchmark standards.
- Hold parent-teacher conferences twice yearly during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement. Specifically, those conferences will be held once in the fall (October) and again in the spring (March).
- Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress. Specifically, school report cards will be sent home at the completion of each six-week grading period. Report cards for the 1st and 4th six-week grading period may be picked up during the two scheduled parent conference times. A total of six report cards will be given during the school year.
- Provide parents reasonable access to staff. Specifically, staff will be available for consultation with parents before and after school hours. It is reasonable to request that parents call ahead of time to schedule an appointment with the teacher. Time is also available during the two parent-teacher conference times.
- Provide parents opportunities to volunteer and participate in school-wide activities. Parents are invited to talk with the teacher and volunteer their time to help with such events. Background checks for volunteers are required for student and school safety.
