Education: Bonanza High School Graduate | SOU Graduate with a BS in Elementary Education
Professional Background: I began my teaching career in 1991 with the Klamath County School District at Bonanza Elementary, the very school I attended as a child and graduated from. Over the years, I’ve taught kindergarten through 6th grade and served as a reading intervention specialist. While I’ve had the pleasure of teaching many grade levels, most of my classroom experience has been with kindergartners.
Goal as a homeschool teacher: For the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Great Basin Homeschool, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I am passionate about helping families discover the unique learning paths for their children and guiding them toward the right curriculum that best suits their needs. My goal is to build strong, trusting connections with families, empowering them to feel confident in their teaching and supporting their child's growth.
Personal Hobbies: Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, Chris, and our three grown children, Abby, Zach, and Mallory. They are all proud graduates of the Klamath County School District, and it brought me great joy to see them all go on to become Oregon Ducks!
Something most people dont know about me: Creativity has always been a big part of my life. I’m an obsessive crafter and love working with my hands—whether it’s sewing, building, repurposing, or painting. You can often find me at local shows around Southern Oregon, where I sell my latest creations, including leather purses and totes.
