Free & Reduced Price Application information
You can save up to $680 per child a year if you qualify for free or reduced-price meals, which includes breakfast and lunch. You may apply any time during the year for any Klamath County School District student.
Students that received meal benefits last year start the new school year with the coverage they had at the end of last year. The household must complete a 2011-2012 application within the first 30 days of school to ensure free or reduced-price meal benefits for this year with no lapse of coverage.
If you received an eligibility notification letter from KCSD already this year notifying you of your child’s free meal status, then please do not submit an application.
Only one application needs to be submitted per family for all KCSD students. Help us GO GREEN, and complete your application in a few easy steps online at: https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/frlapp/default.aspx. If you have any questions or need help, call Kathy at 541.883.5049 or ask your school secretary. Online applications are processed daily at the Food Services office and save time and paper.
You may obtain a paper application in English or Spanish at any of our schools. Return the completed application to your school or this office. Your application will be processed within five working days.
You will receive an “Eligibility Notification” letter in the mail no matter which method you choose to use.
Contact the Nutrition Services office with any questions, to request an application, or to report changes.
