As a required part of the Klamath County School District's preliminary employment process the district requires drug tests for safety-sensitive positions (e.g., Teachers, Bus Drivers, Cafeteria staff, Paraprofessionals, Maintenance staff, etc.) and positions in which the person is responsible for studentsí safety and security. Satisfactory completion of such tests is a prerequisite of employment. Drug testing shall include any narcotic drug, hallucinogenic drug, amphetamine, barbiturate, marijuana or any other controlled substance or alcohol. 


 

SUBSTITUTE TEACHING:

We are pleased to announce that the Klamath County School District has partnered with EDUStaff, LLC as a third party employer for our licensed substitutes. In order to be placed on the licensed substitute list with the Klamath County School District, you must first apply with EDUStaff by following this link: https://www.edustaff.org/ 

All Substitute Teachers must have completed a Bachelorís Degree and must apply for/possess one of the following:
∑    Valid Oregon Teaching License (license types vary by candidate qualifications)
∑    Valid Oregon Substitute Teaching License
∑    Valid Oregon Restricted Substitute Teaching License
Licensing is completed via the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and must be obtained before one is qualified to work as a Substitute Teacher. Visit https://www.oregon.gov/tspc/Pages/index.aspx for more details.
