As a required part of the Klamath County School District's preliminary employment process the district requires drug tests for safety-sensitive positions (e.g., Teachers, Bus Drivers, Cafeteria staff, Paraprofessionals, Maintenance staff, etc.) and positions in which the person is responsible for students’ safety and security. Satisfactory completion of such tests is a prerequisite of employment. Drug testing shall include any narcotic drug, hallucinogenic drug, amphetamine, barbiturate, marijuana or any other controlled substance or alcohol.

All Substitute Teachers must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree and must apply for/possess one of the following:
· Valid Oregon Teaching License (license types vary by candidate qualifications)
· Valid Oregon Substitute Teaching License
· Valid Oregon Restricted Substitute Teaching License
